Competitor entry fee is $100 and includes the cost of competition materials, safety equipment and the use of all the tools needed. Competitors will also receive a 2025 Fabricator Olympics Long Sleeve shirt to be worn during the competition. Entry fee also includes a swag bag from Lincoln Electric and other sponsors.
Top five competitors who advance to the finals will win a new Lincoln welding helmet in addition to the above.
What to Expect: Competitors
Arrive early to allow ample time for sign-in, safety briefs, waivers, and to get competition shirts, bracket order, and be directed to initial stations.
Individual competitors will rotate through six challenges simultaneously. Competitors should arrive by 8:30am to check in. Opening ceremony will start at 9:00am and the competition will start at 9:30am. Each rotation will last 45 minutes with a short break in between to change stations.
Challenges will incorporate a variety of necessary in-shop & in-field fabrication skills: cutting, torching, grinding, drilling, welding & finishing. Contestants will be assigned points for each challenge based on judges' scores of speed and accuracy.
Contestants do not need to score the highest in every challenge. Instead, have a winning overall bracket score to advance to finals.
The top five point-earners will then move have 90 minutes to compete a final project. Project will be judged on similar criteria of speed and accuracy but also have a point system for detail, creativity and proper execution of instructions.
Must be 18 or older to compete, with valid ID & signed waiver prior to the beginning of the competition.
Competition will be limited to no more than 50 contestants. These spots will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis so please sign up with the above link as soon as you know you'd like to compete.
